How many of us have had relatives for friends that saved items from the trash to be frugal only to end up with a houseful of clutter? We want to reuse as much as we can but after a while those "found" items can turn ito a big mess and often be lost and never used. Here are a few hints to help recycling be frugal, efficient and not clutter.
Carefully clean and sort items so they are ready to use.
Establish space to store certain types of recyclables and get containers to store the smaller items.
Store them near where they are to be used.
Only keep as much as you will use in a set period of time. When you reach the limit, don't save anymore of that item until you have allocated space available again.
Check with your church, daycare, senior citizen center, etc. to see if there are items they can use to donate your extras.
Once you have saved as much as you can efficiently use and manage, dispose of the rest in recycle bins or trash bins as your community can provide.
